Yorkshire Pudding

1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 cup cold water
4 eggs
1-1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/3 cup butter or beef drippings
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Combine flour milk, water, eggs, salt and pepper. Beat until smooth.
- Meanwhile, place butter or beef drippings in a 13×9" casserole dish and melt in the oven.
- Pour batter into the hot dish and bake until edges are dark golden brown and center is set, about 35-45 minutes. Serve immediately.
Makes 8 servings


Oh, yum! I had Yorkshire pudding for the first time earlier this Spring when my friend’s beau from London made it for us. It was very tasty.
A friend’s mom used to make it all the time and he introduced it to me. She also makes this “smokies in the drift” dish, which is basically an egg bake with sausages in it. Also very good.
