In the interest of trying out this new comment feature: I think you could’ve used a 2% or 1% or even soy milk, or even suggested those as viable alternatives. Also, with the strawberries in there, I don’t think you really needed that extra sugar. I mean, they’re Cheerios.

2% is perhaps a viable alternative, but soy milk should be distanced from everything that will ever go into my mouth. I’m not going to stand between someone and their soy milk, but I don’t really want to hear about it!

Normal cheerios aren’t sweet, just the honey nut and multigrain varieties are. I find that strawberries get a little tart when added to milk products, thus the sugar.

But that’s what I’m sayin’–if you’re going to add sugar, why eat Cheerios in the first place? Mostly, I’m just being snarky. I had to wean myself off adding sugar to healthier cereals, but I used to add it in by the cupful (not seriously).

There’s always buttermilk. Yikes.

I like strawberries with my Cheerios and I add the sugar so they’re not bitter! That’s all. Otherwise, no sugar additions.
