Old Bay Shrimp

1 pound raw shrimp, peeled
1/2 cup butter
1 bay leaf
1/4 teaspoon mustard seed
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon black peppercorns
1/4 teaspoon ginger, grated
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat and add bay leaf, mustard seed, celery seed, pepper and ginger.
- Add shrimp and cook until flesh turns pink, about a minute.
- Turn the shrimp, remove from heat and cover. Allow to steam for several minutes before serving.
Makes 4 servings
