Taco Salad

1 pound ground beef
1/2 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 jalapeno, chopped (optional)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon ground cumin
salt and pepper

1/2 cup cheddar, shredded
2 cups iceberg lettuce, shredded
4 tablespoons Salsa
4 tablespoons Guacamole
2 tablespoons sour cream

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onion, garlic, jalapeno (if using) and spices and sauté until tender.
  3. Add the ground beef and cook until no longer pink.
  4. Layer lettuce on a plate and top with ground beef mixture.
  5. Top with cheese, salsa, guacamole and sour cream and serve.
